iBattleTV — Flyers, Bumpers & Video Intros
For several years, I worked closely with iBattleTV owner and battle rapper Lexx Luthor to develop the visual identity and promotional assets surrounding one of the battle rap scene’s established platforms. iBattleTV has built an extensive catalog of events and battles, with more than 1,500 battles documented and over 11 million total views across its catalog.
My work spanned animated video intros, YouTube bumpers, event flyers, and promotional graphics, creating visual content designed to build anticipation around events while giving iBattleTV’s video content a consistent and recognizable presentation. I collaborated directly with Lexx Luthor throughout the creative process, translating concepts, event themes, and the personalities of the artists involved into bold, high-energy visuals suited to the battle rap audience.
The project gave me the opportunity to work across both motion and static design, developing graphics for digital distribution as well as live events. The portfolio examples featured here represent a selection of that work, showcasing the range of visual styles, animation, and promotional materials I created for iBattleTV over the course of our collaboration.
What I enjoy most about this work is the creative freedom it provides.
Battle rap has its own visual language, personalities, and energy, giving me the opportunity to experiment with different styles while creating work that feels connected to the culture. It’s also been especially rewarding to contribute to an art form I genuinely enjoy. Seeing my own work appear in videos and promotional materials for some of my favorite battles- and knowing that those visuals have become part of the record of those events- is a pretty cool part of the experience!
